2009

The 2009 Technical Regulations are still being approved by the MSA .  The 2008 set of Regulations which can be found under the Links section of the web site will be unaltered except for the following .

“Changes to the Technical Regulations for 2009 are for the four cylinder TR’s and the MGB GTV8’s.  Both these marques will be moving classes on a one years moratorium.

The four cylinder TR’s will be running in the B class and the MGB GTV8 can change to a T5 gearbox and run under the TSCC C Class Regulations.  The MGBGTV8 can still  race under the BCV8 Regulations and remain in class B in standard form.”

After ten years we have managed in 2009 to secure two meetings at the lovely Hampshire circuit. There are only eight or nine meetings per season at this venue and not only have we managed a BARC meeting there on the 28th June at a mixed club racing meeting but we have a round at the Aston Martin Owners Club meeting on the 12th September.

Thruxton Grid

At the AMOC meeting we have had to guarantee a full grid and to do this have purchased our slot outright on your behalf. The grid holds 38 and at popular events previously we have achieved 44 on the grid so an early entry directly to your Coordinator, once the regs are published will secure your slot.
