To continue without mentioning how I have been in the last few months would not be fair to you all. Thank you for the calls, the odd random e mails and the many Christmas Cards all saying you were thinking of me.  Three months without posts on the web site is far too long and Roy is shouting at me to get on with it.

For these past three months I have concentrated on the things that have to be done to get our lives back into some sort of order.  Not easy, as my best friend hasn’t been around to talk to but we had both been very positive people and both knew Roy’s condition was uncertain and had discussed the game plan.

Already in the pipeline Roy had organised a new venture for Russell and himself which was the opening of a Race Preparation and Mechanical Garage with MOT.   He had found the property in February 2010 but it was finally completed on the 15th November and I now find myself no longer retired but a Partner in another venture this time with my Son.  We hope to open the doors by February.

In between times I have finalised the Regulations, agreed the race calendar, set up the business, organised equipment, ‘dealt’ with the Council and done a bit of skip filling, demolition and snow clearing.   All the time desperately missing Roy but knowing that we are doing what he had wanted and above all what Russell had wanted.

My next hardest hurdle to cross will be the 9th April.

Best wishes to you all for a Happy and Healthy 2011.

See you trackside.
